Revealr is a new iPhone app that allows those looking for love to hear their possible matches before they see them. Created by London-based duo Guy Harrington and Paul Laight, Revealr is an iPhone-only app that allows users to introduce themselves verbally before revealing their picture. As with fellow dating app Tinder, users must log in through Facebook. The app was spotted by The Next Web.
A pixelated photo comes with a 20-second verbal introduction, as well as name, age and location. Should two people decide they 'like' each other, their photos are revealed, allowing them to chat the night (or day) away. Described by its creators as 'fun and addictive,' Revealr is completely free and encourages people to like each other 'for who they really are' rather than making judgements based solely on profile pictures. Revealr is certainly a clever concept, and right in line with other unusual dating apps, such as Let's Date, which allows people to play matchmaker with their friends, or Hinge, which trawls your closest Facebook friends' friends to find a Mister or Miss Right.
