New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd, 29, has a bullet lodged in his lungs after a shootout over the weekend. The NFL player returned backs in the hospital after he had some complications associated with his recent health scare. The 29-year-old gives a rare health update on a social media platform on Wednesday, November 26.

Kris Boyd Returned To Hospital Due To Health Issues

Kris Boyd wrote on Instagram, "Please bare with me, l haven't been in communication much l was released but had to return to the hospital due to my health issues...l love and appreciate everyone of yall dearly who has prayed/reached out even if I can't get back to you!" The post concluded, "Head HIGH, God is not through with me yet!"

The 29-year-old was previously hospitalized on November 17, after he was shot in New York City on November 16. According to reports, the bullet went through his abdomen and became stuck in his right lung. As of now, he has gone multiple surgeries following the shooting. In an Instagram story shared on Novemeber 19, Kris Boyd, wrote, "God is real, God is powerful! I'm sorry I have no words at the moment .Just grateful! I'm coming along, starting to breathe on my own now. Sincerely appreciate everyone!"

At the time of the incident that occurred at 2 am on November 16 at Sei Less, an Asian fusion restaurant on West 38th Street, Jet Caoch Aaron Glenn said, "Once I heard about the situation, the first thing I thought about was he just had a kid. I'm thinking about his wife. I'm thinking about his kid. I want to make sure that he's okay. That's the only thing that really went through my mind. And anybody else that was involved, make sure those guys are okay."

As of now, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) has identified a possible suspect, although it has not been publicly announced as the investigation is still underway. At the time of the shooting, there were about 50 people around, according to police officials, but no one was hurt.
