Have you always been a proud night owl? If that's true, you may want to consider altering your sleeping habits a little. It would prove beneficial if you could be up and wide awake just an hour earlier, to begin with.

As per a research undertaken by a Harvard biologist in 2008, early risers tend to be more proactive and get to pre-planning for the day. As an early riser, you may have enough time to organise and put things together, even if it is before you begin your hectic day at work. Such people also think ahead for themselves, with respect to their future goals and ambitions. Besides, you could have some time to exercise or go on a brisk walk. This would keep you pumped-up for the rest of the day with a better attitude. Want a better night s sleep? Eat these!

To get this habit in place, you should prioritise your sleep time and stick to it as much. Do not give in to excuses or push your scheduled time to sleep. Also, force yourself to sleep early so as to alter your sleep cycle. The more you do this, the more your body will get used to waking up early at a particular time. You can have a set alarm or have a glass of warm milk before sleeping or exert yourself with some exercising just before hitting the bed. These may help in putting you to sleep, faster. Here is how you can try and be a morning person.
