Most of us are in a hurry while brushing our teeth every morning and tend to do it just about anyhow. Flossing is needed for oral hygiene and should be done at least once a day as the food particles are caught in between the teeth.

Here is how you can floss your teeth:

  • Pick out the flossing thread from the plastic dispenser which comes with a tiny blade in the dispenser.
  • Hold this thread of floss carefully between your thumbs and index fingers. Then, slide it up-and-down exactly between your teeth.
  • Curve the floss around the base of your tooth, and ensure you go beneath the gumline. Be cautious of not putting too much of force while doing this as this could bruise the delicate gum tissue.
  • Once the are is well cleaned, use the back-and-forth motion to bring gain the floss back up and get it away from the teeth.
  • You could also buy a floss enables with holding devices like floss holders. This is convenient to hold and can clear out all the food stuck in the interdental areas. Here is all you need to know about flossing.
