It's true, eating healthy starts from the very attempt of going grocery shopping yourself. You pick and know what's right for you and give in a little more thought to your diet and fitness. However, you shouldn't be resorting to trips to your nearest store only because you are hungry. Or for that matter, you shouldn't be grocery shopping in case you are craving to eat; you might just pick up a whole lot of junk!
It's important you are calm and not being impulsive when at the store. Have a fruit or some nuts to control your hunger pangs just before you set out shopping. Keeping in mind that your restlessness could shift your focus from 'mission - healthy grocery shopping,' just jot down a quick healthy list, in advance. You don't want to be missing out on the important things, simply because you can't control your hunger pangs. The grocery shopping shouldn't in anyway go waste for you, in case you realise you've got all the wrong things. Skip that big packet of chips and pick some dry fruits instead or some oat and energy bars. If you've managed to have a list before hand, this would also help you plan your meals better, so you pick healthier ingredients and make the right choices. Here is how you can look for cheap healthy foods when you are on a budget.
