Injeti Srinivas an Orissa cadre officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) has been named chair of the National Pharmaceuticals Pricing Authority it was announced Tuesday. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved Srinivas' appointment in the rank of additional secretary in place of C.P. Singh who has since relinquished the post. The institution affiliated to the Department of Pharmaceuticals in the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizerss fixes and revise the prices of controlled bulk drugs and formulations and also ensures availability of medicines in the country.
