Recently while shooting for an action film, Neil injured himself on the sets. The scene required him to fire bullets with his gun at someone. In the process of doing so, he got some amount of gunpowder on his face. But instead of stopping, he continued with the shot until he realised his skin had a burning sensation. It is then when he stopped shooting and applied some ice on it to soothe his skin.
Talking about the incident to a Midday reporter, Neil said, 'We have done huge shoots at Film City for over the past 15 days. Initially I didn't pay attention but later the irritation unbearably increased. These minor hiccups are part and parcel of shoots. I'm hale, hearty and shooting again is what matters.'
What's surprising is the alarming number of mishaps on film sets recently. Hrithik Roshan was in the news for undergoing brain surgery after he injured himself on the sets of Bang Bang, SRK too underwent one after wrapping up Chennai Express, Salman Khan too had a hamstring injury. Looks like our actors take great pains and risks to make their films entertaining for us but we advise them to take care of their safety as well. (Read: Actors injured while doing stunts)
