‘The proposal was made by a member of the Dengue and Malaria Committee. It was taken up by the Standing Committee recently and now the same has been moved to the municipal commissioner, under whom the feasibility of the proposal is being taken up,’ Chairman of NDMC’s Standing Committee, Mohan Bhardwaj, told PTI. The proposal provides for granting of aid to those victims whose residence falls in the jurisdiction of the civic body. ‘Dengue deaths occur not just among those from Delhi but there are cases of patients coming from outside Delhi too. People can produce a dengue death certificate and start claiming compensation. We need to look into every aspect before taking any final call on it,’ he said.
