We see something new in beauty trends every day! People recently went gaga over nasal hair waxing and the videos were all over Instagram and many bloggers, Instagrammers, influencers tried the nasal hair waxing and faced brutal comments on their posts and for all the good reasons. We have severe concerns regarding this procedure. It is unbelievably bizarre to watch. Take a look at these Instagram videos of people waxing their nose:

Grossed, aren't you? More than the grossness, let's talk about the harmful effects of this procedure. Many Instagrammers do post the warnings in the description. But if this is still happening somewhere, it really should just stop. Here are a few reasons why we shouldn't opt for nasal hair waxing:

1. Nasal hair acts as barriers and protects all the dirt that enters our respiratory system.

2. Since it is an internal procedure and not performed on the open skin like arms etc, pulling nasal hair instead of trimming it increases the chances of accidentally pulling the hair in the wrong way and cause bleeding or injury.

3. Apart from defending us from the environmental pathogens such as germs, fungus etc it provides humidity to inhaled air as the mucus and hair provide heat and moisture. Humidity is important for our respiratory systems.

4. The heat of the wax could cause a burn and as you can see the method involves using wax in the enclosed nostrils.

5. Suffocation: Since the sticks with wax have to be kept inside the nostrils for some time, there are chances that it might suffocate you, especially if you are an asthma patient and also chances are that while applying you end up ingesting the wax through your nose.

Would you go for this procedure? We would appreciate your views in the comment section below.
