Lack of awareness and shortage of medicines coupled with high costs of tests and vaccines have been blamed for the spread of swine flu, Union Minister JP Nadda on Wednesday assured citizens that there is enough supply of swine flu medicines and people should panic. He has however urged people to be alert. (Read: J P Nadda does not recommend vaccination for general public)
The central government is in touch with all states and regular review of the situation is being done, informed the Minister in Rajya Sabha. Stock of medicine and other equipments like masks and vaccines have supplied to the states and the reserve stock is maintained with the government to meet sudden requirements.
