Rolene Strauss, the newly crowned Miss World, was famous the moment she was born in 1992. She was Bloemfontein's first test tube baby! And that was just the beginning.

She was just 15 years old and won the Elite Model Look South Africa in 2007. She then featured in the top 5 at Miss South Africa contest in 2011 when she was just 19 and Melinda Bam won the title. Her persistence finally paid off when she won the Miss South Africa title in March 2014.

It was indeed sad when media started criticising her for her slight weight gain in August 2014. But that did not deter the beauty who had fought so much since so long, for the title. USN, the supplement giant along with Virgin Active, a chain of health clubs in South Africa partnered with Rolene Strauss and helped her with her weight loss transformation.

Rolene Strauss' story is something that inspires us at Thehealthsite.com, especially since we are working towards the same passion - health! Yes, this year's Miss World 2014 is a fourth year medical student hailing from Bloemfontein, South Africa. Her life's purpose is to work for the women and healthcare in South Africa.

Summing it up really well is this Rolene's Facebook post for her fans:
