Miss Universe Jamaica 2025 is on the road to recovery, following a tragic fall on-camera during the Miss Universe preliminary rounds in Thailand, on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. The incident which occurred during the evening gown segment left many fans worried about Dr. Gabrielle Henry, Miss Universe Jamaica 2025 and video clips of the shocking fall immediately went viral on the internet.
In the recent development, Raul Rocha, President of Miss Universe, took to Instagram to share an update about Miss Universe Jamaica 2025. A statement which was released on Miss Universe Jamaica's Instagram handle read, "The Miss Universe Organization wishes to address recent speculation by providing a clear and respectful update regarding Dr. Gabrielle Henry Miss Universe Jamaica 2025.
"Out of respect for Dr. Henry and her family, the Organization maintains strict discretion regarding specific details of her medical status," Rocha continued. "We believe that matters concerning her health should be communicated only at the appropriate time and solely at the family's discretion, or by Dr. Henry herself should she choose to do so."
Miss Universe President further revealed that "immediate action" was taken when the 28-year-old pageant fell off the stage. He wrote, "I personally entered the stage to assist her, coordinated urgent medical attention, and oversaw her immediate transfer to the hospital. I was present at the emergency room alongside her family, with whom I spoke directly.
"I recommended a series of precautionary actions, some beyond standard protocol, to guarantee the most accurate evaluation, monitoring, and medical oversight. Additional medical specialists were also brought in to provide multiple professional assessments and ensure full clarity regarding her condition."

According to the statement which is now available online, it further revealed that certain bills like hotel, hospital and travel expenses were all covered by the Miss Universe Organization. The statement read, "Over the past four days, there have been difficult moments and unexpected concerns. However, thanks to the excellent medical care provided, each issue was successfully resolved. Today, we are pleased to share that the latest medical report confirms that Dr. Gabrielle Henry is in good health and nearing discharge. We will continue to communicate only essential information with professionalism, sensitivity, and respect."
Despite its shocking fall, Raul Rocha further added that the Miss Universe Jamaica has been recovering well and is now really close to getting discharged from the hospital. He concluded in the statement, "While unfounded speculation has circulated publicly, our full attention has remained on Dr. Henry's care and recovery. We are grateful that she is now close to being released from the hospital."
Miss Universe Jamaica's sister Dr. Phylicia Henry-Samuels, who is currently in Thailand with their mother, Maureen Henry, previously stated, "Gabby isn't doing as well as we would have hoped, but the hospital continues to treat her accordingly." The statement which was made public on social media further revealed, "Gabrielle will be required to remain in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for a minimum of seven (7) days, as doctors continue their close monitoring and specialised care."
