Meet the two mosquito species responsible for deadly dengue this season!

Aedes Albopictus and Aedes Aegypty - the two species of mosquitoes that have been creating havoc and causing dengue all over, have been identified by the South Delhi Municipal Corporation. said N.K. Yadav, municipal health officer of south Delhi's civic body. The city has seen more than 1,000 cases this year and three deaths so far this season.

Between the both of them, while Aedes Aegypty is an in-house species and easy to control through fumigation, it is difficult to control Aedes Albopictus which develops outside, which may explain why the disease is spreading even though steps are being taken by the Government and local bodies.

He said that symptoms of the disease are the same, after a bite from either species of mosquito.
