fellainiMost United fans might hate him but they won't be happy knowing that another injury has struck their team as Marouane Fellaini is set for an extended spell on the sidelines. He was pictured hobbling on crutches and wearing a protective boot and it's believed he suffered an injury while training. According to Sportsmail, Fellaini has suffered ankle ligament damage though more tests are awaited to confirm this. Fellaini has had a horrible time at Old Trafford ever since he joined up his former boss David Moyes at the Theatre of Dreams. He still hasn't scored a competitive goal for United and only made 16 starts last season. New manager Louis Van Gaal wanted to sell him but his injury might scupper any transfer plans.

With fellow midfielder Michael Carrick ruled out till October, United are rather light in the midfield. Fellaini joins Michael Carrick, Jonny Evans, Danny Welbeck, Tom Cleverley, Luke Shaw and Antonio Valencia in the United sickroom.
