Do you eat love eating cereals manufactured by Kellogg's? Well, according to an online viral video a man was found urinating on an assembly line of Kellogg's products in their factory at Memphis, Tennessee. The video surfaced online recently, and the company learnt about it on Friday.
In a statement on their website, the company has clarified that a criminal investigation is being conducted by the US FDA, and they have also launched an internal investigation. The statement also says that the video was filmed in 2014, and they are yet to identify the perpetrator and once identified he will be prosecuted immediately. The company has said that they take the quality of their products very seriously and are utterly disappointed by this news.
Is the contaminated food still doing rounds?
The products that might have been affected were Rice Krispies Treats, granola clusters that are used in a few of their products and few other puffed rice treats are no longer in production. However, they have clarified that the affected products must have been very limited and would have expired by now. They have also said that such an incident is a food quality issue and not a food safety risk.
Kellogg's has assured that they have taken this action seriously and has apologised to their consumers across the world. They have also promised to share more information about the incident as and when they get it. Meanwhile, they are urging consumers to ask any question they might have via e-mail or their social channels.
