The recent controversy surrounding one of India s most popular snacks Maggi garnered a lot of hype on Twitter after reports about excess lead content in it surfaced. From celebs to commoners, everyone has been sharing their opinion on what they feel about its ban. Here s what a few Bollywood stars had to say.
Madhuri Dixit who is the current brand ambassador of the product was recently issued a notice for endorsing Maggi by the Haridwar Food and Drug Administration for claiming in the ad that these instant noodles are good for health. The actress took to Twitter to share her stand on the matter. Here s what she said:
Preity Zinta who endorsed the product 12 years ago was also shocked when she was served a legal notice for the same. She expressed her astonishment on Twitter.
Amitabh Bachchan who too used to endorse Maggi a couple of years ago also got the legal notice. He did not react on the social networking site but said in a statement to PTI that he will cooperate with what the law says. Read more...
