Maggi controversy is taking a new turn with every passing day. The all-time-favourite snack first came under the scanner after samples collected by Uttar Pradesh Food Safety and Drug Administration were reported to be containing Mono Sodium Glutamate (MSG) and lead more than the permissible limits.

Nestle was also asked to withdraw the packets from the market which could cause health hazards. Following this FDA had issued notice to state governments to send Maggi packets across the country for a stringent quality check. Here are all your questions on Maggi answered.

Now the recent development is that Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit seems to have landed in a legal trouble for endorsing Maggi. The Haridwar Food and Drug Administration served a notice to her on the claims she made in the advertisement.

The big notice

According to the notice The Haridwar Food and Drug Administration seeks a report from Madhuri Dixit within 15 days on claims made in the advertisement regarding the nutrition value of the 2-minute noodles. Further, the notice claims that if she fails to respond to the notice within the stipulated time frame, a case could be registered against her. This was confirmed by Food Security Officer Mahimanand Joshi from FDA, Uttar Pradesh.
