The word is finally out. Processed meats can cause cancer. A few days back the World Health Organisation (WHO) was planning to label processed meats to be probable carcinogens that were as bad as cigarettes or tobacco. The official announcement to confirm it was made on Monday has officially according to which processed meats - such as bacon sausages and ham - do cause cancer. According to an official statement reported by BBC the WHO said 50g of processed meat a day - less than two slices of bacon - increased the chance of developing colorectal cancer by 18 percent.
