King Charles III has once again addressed his health in a surprisingly candid way, leaving Royal watchers, both concerned and impressed by his humour. During his recent appearance, the 76 year old king, Charles jokes about what would happen when he "drops dead", also discussing about the future of the monarchy. Even after the serious topic, King Charles maintains his signature wit, mentioning that he is not ignoring his health issues, also he is not letting his health issues define him. His confirmation came months after the Palace confirmed that the king had been diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, although they still did not reveal the exact type or the stage of the cancer.
According to the official statement issued by Buckingham Palace in February, King Charles was undergoing cancer treatment, which was diagnosed during a routine checkup of an enlarged prostate. Although the prostate itself was found to be benign, further tests revealed another form of cancer, which doctors started treating immediately. Sources close to Palace have assured that King Charles is getting regular medical treatment and therapy. And some of his duties are temporary scaled back, the monarch has remained committed to his constitutional roles and is reportedly responding well to treatment.
