One of the victims who met an unfortunate fate was late Lieutenant Vinay Narwal from the Indian Navy, who was on his honeymoon with his wife, Himanshi, in Kashmir. Little did the newly-wed couple who tied the knot just 7 days back know that their trip to Kashmir would be the worst nightmare of their lives.
In a video that went viral in the aftermath of the attack, Himanshi can be heard telling locals that a man had shot her husband. "I was eating bhelpuri, and my husband was standing by my side. A man came and shot him. The man said he [Vinay] was not a Muslim, and shot him," Himanshi says in the video, recounting the horror.
The brutal terror attack in Pahalgam, which is believed to be a pre-planned strike on tourists in the region, not only dismantled Himanshi's life, but also shattered countless dreams and promises that the couple might have made just 7 days back during their wedding.

Now, an unseen video of Himanshi has circulated where she could be seen patting the forehead of her late martyred husband, Vinay, as he was wrapped in a tricolour during his last rites.
Himanshi broke down at Lt Narwal's funeral surrounded by fellow officers and family members. "I hope his soul rests in peace. He lived a good life. It is because of him that the world is still surviving. And we should all be proud of him, in every way," she said. Watch the video HERE:

"The person's entire world, which was being reshaped around a new relationship and a shared future, collapses overnight. Rebuilding life after such a loss can take years and without the right emotional and psychological support, many may find it extremely difficult to heal."
