Indian Army directs its canteens to stop selling Maggi

Also asks its personnel to avoid eating it.

With Maggi noodles under the scanner for excessive lead content, even the Indian Army has issued an advisory to its personnel to avoid eating it. It has also ordered Army canteens in the country to stop selling it unless it directs them otherwise.

Apart from the Army, several other states are either banning its sale or testing its samples to figure out if it is safe for consumption. As of today, the governments of Telagana and Andhra Pradesh have ordered its samples to be tested and will take adequate action once the results are out. Read more...

Though these states are still deciding upon it, the state government has banned the sale of Maggi in Delhi for 15 days as of now after samples showed excessive lead content in them. Read more...
