India Pakistan War Live Updates: Air raid sirens were sounded in the Union Territory Chandigarh on Friday morning (around 9:30 am), following an air warning received from the Air Force station surrounding a possible aerial attack.
As per reports, the people in these areas have been asked to remain indoors and stay away from balconies. As tensions between India and Pakistan escalate following the Pahalgam terror attack and India's retaliatory Operation Sindoor, war anxiety is visibly mounting among civilians.
On 8th (Thursday), Pakistan's armed forces launched multiple attacks using drones and other munitions along the entire western border. As per the latest updates by the Indian armed forces, most of these attacks were "effectively repulsed". Pakistani troops also resorted to "numerous ceasefire violations" along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army said in an early morning post on X.
The sirens reminiscent of wartime alerts ignited fear and uncertainty among people, with many reporting symptoms of acute stress and anxiety. Although the alert was called off by 10:16 a.m., the psychological impact lingered. Stay tuned with us for all the live updates from the Line of Control (LoC), and developments in Operation Sindoor.
