Actress Priyanka Chopra, who is often appreciated for her svelte figure, says she doesn't lead a healthy lifestyle but is fit.
'Nobody is perfect... I am impatient, restless and emotional. I take wrong decisions sometimes because of being emotional. I don't like early mornings. I don't have any schedule. I am fit but I am very unhealthy.
'I hate working out. Only I know how I am working out for Mary Kom,' Priyanka told reporters, referring to the upcoming movie on the award-winning Indian woman boxer.
How Priyanka is training for Mary Kom
Playing a boxer will require her to have a very tough-looking body and she will also have to shoot many ring sequences for the film. The team has roped in Rob Miller of Chak de! India fame for this purpose. He was the sports action director of that film and will now work with PeeCee to make the ring sequences look as authentic as possible.
To make her body look as similar as possible to the inspiration of the film, Mary Kom, Sameer Johal has already started training Priyanka for it. He has trained Farhan Akhtar too for his upcoming film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and has done a spectacular job on his physique.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali is leaving no stone unturned to make his venture look as close to the real life of the boxer. He asked Priyanka to meet Mary Kom and get to know her in order to be able to get under the skin of the character.
It certainly won't be a cakewalk for PeeCee as Mary is a world champion and trains hard every day. Her day starts with a 14 km run which is followed by some stretching and then practising shadow boxing in the ring. After resting in the afternoon, Kom spends her evenings in the gym doing push-ups, sit-ups and strength training before moving back to the boxing ring again. She pays prime attention to her brain-eye coordination and stamina as these most vital for a boxer. After such a strenuous session, she cools off with a short run.
We wish Priyanka luck in her endeavour to play Mary Kom and do complete justice to her part.
