While we aren't sure what happens behind the closed doors but it is always sad to hear about the break-up of our favorite couple. One such couple whom we all loved was Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande. Going by the tweets of Sushant Singh it seems that the relationship has really come to an end.

Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande break-up

The recent gossip of B-town is the alleged break-up of actor Sushant Singh Rajput and his girlfriend Ankita Lokhande, who had a six-year-long relationship. Ankita once came out in the open and confessed that the two are very much in the relationship. But again, if the grapevine is to be believed, it is her possessiveness that led to the downfall of this relationship. 'Every man is possessive about his girl and vice versa. But again jealousy that is way too common in celebrity couples can often break a relationship into bits. Possessiveness and controlling attitude are two different things. If a partner's controlling habit affects the other's work, family, finances and free will thinking then it is a matter of concern. Probably the other partner needs help,' concludes Dr Sanghanayak Meshram, psychiatrist and sexologist, Mumbai. When the Bollywood hunk and his childhood sweetheart parted ways, it left the entire nation stunned. Nobody saw this coming, given that the couple always looked picture perfect and lost in love with each other. But if the grapevine is to be believed, problems had crept into their picture-perfect life quite early. According to gossip columns, Hrithik Roshan had an alleged secret affair with his Krrish 3 co-star Kangana Ranaut for the past two years. But we wonder what makes one bid goodbye to his childhood love and cheat on his partner without giving a second thought? Well, what goes behind closed doors we won't know. We don't even know who is to be blamed for this doom.

But there is a possible explanation one of our experts suggests. 'There is a faint line between reel and real life and sometimes for these celebrities who are living a particular character, romancing someone to an extent that they get intimate to bring out an excellent chemistry, an attraction is usually developed. However, this attraction is not about commitment or a long term relationship. Understand, touch is very powerful, be it with your partner or anyone else of the opposite sex, as it gives rise to an adrenaline rush and that can open the doors for cheating or extra-marital affair,' says Dr Meshram. Going by this theory, it is clear why Hrithik was reluctant to accept his alleged relationship with Kangana and both got into a legal spat.

Farhan Akhtar and Adhuna Bhabani divorce

This famous B-town couple called off their 15-year long marriage recently and the gossip columns blamed Farhan's alleged closeness with his Wazir co-star Aditi Rao Hydari. Well, that is not all, he has also been said to get close with his Rock-on 3 co-star Shraddha Kapoor. If gossip mongers are to be believed, then it is these alleged relationships that led to Adhuna walking out of their marriage. We wonder what makes one lose trust after 15-years of togetherness?

Well, at times age differences do come in the way of marriages to ruin it to the core. And we know that Adhuna is six years older than Farhan. 'At times, people tend to overlook age differences and get married being awed by one's personality. In those cases, intellectual maturity doesn't happen at the same pace and partners tend to move apart,' points Dr Meshram. Moreover, one person's stardom and success can also be the reason behind rifts in relationships. While Adhuna is an established hair stylist in her own right being the co-host of BBLUNT, which airs on TLC, but probably Farhan's stardom could have come in the way of their relationship. 'Jealousy and insecurity are two reasons that make even long term relationships turn sour. And when insecurities become stronger than personal beliefs and trust, rumours tend to become realities. Soon one partner starts living the rumours turning them into reality and that certainly gives away the purity of a relationship,' adds Dr Meshram.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma break-up

Their relationship has become a national issue but nobody really knows what their relationship status is now, especially after Virat Kohli lashed out on people who trolled his actor girlfriend Anushka Sharma. However, reports of their break-up were doing the rounds in social media and digital portals just a few months back. The reason cited was Virat proposed marriage but Anushka chooses to concentrate on her career. Seriously? Are they that naive to call off a relationship on such a trivial issue?

Well, we aren't sure. 'There was a time when girls were taught to dream only about their marriage and a marriage proposal meant the world to them. But things have changed with time, women have their own dreams and own identity, they have a right to choose what they want. What is needed to save such relationship that reaches a delicate point is co-operation and trust,' says Dr Meshram and we really hope that the duo gets back together soon.

Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif split

Theirs was supposedly a live-in relationship which hit the rocks early this year. Both Ranbir and Katrina have been tight lipped about the break-up and didn't care enough to address the rumours surrounding their break-up. While nobody knows what really went wrong with this lovey-dovey couple, but family pressures could be one of the reasons suspect gossip columnists. Mamma Neetu Singh never approved of their relationship and this could be a possible cause for a strain in their relationship. 'Parental pressure could also play a role in break-ups and this is a universal phenomenon. Most celebrity parents like business class parents look to associate their kids with families of similar background and disapprove of their kid's choices. After a while, this disapproval really takes a toll on their relationship,' says Meshram.

Arbaaz Khan and Malika Arora separation

This actually took us all by surprise and even Salman Khan playing mediator did not help things fall back in place nor did Arbaaz Khan's confession about being possessive about his lady love. The couple came out in open and said 'they are on a break,' but a divorce is far-fetched. The 18-year long association didn't come down crashing just like that. There were also rumours doing the rounds that Malaika was fed-up waiting for her husband to become successful in his own terms. 'Sometimes ego clashes do happen when one person is more powerful in the relationship than the other both financially and socially. This leads to a downward spiral,' says Dr Meshram.
