Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said in Shimla on Monday that Himachal Pradesh was able to achieve 95 percent of targets under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM). In a letter to union Health Minister Gulam Nabi Azad Dhumal said the state optimally utilised the budgetary provisions under the rural health programme. The chief minister said from 2008-12 the total allocation under the NRHM was about Rs.4.8 billion while the expenditure incurred under the programme was about Rs.4.9 billion ‘which showed the achievement was about 102 percent’.
