Helen Mirren has been announced as the new face for the beauty brand L'Oreal Paris, it has been revealed. The 69-year-old actress said that she has always looked ordinary and plans to stay the same way, People Magazine reported.
The Academy Award winning artist has always loved the brand, and hopes to inspire other women towards greater confidence by making the most of their natural good looks with her new role, she further added. This would be Mirren's first big cosmetics contract and she would be representing the Age Perfect line of products.
Do anti-ageing creams work?
According to cosmetic dermatologist Dr Jaishree Sharad, 'What all anti-ageing creams do isreally hydrate the skin and plump up the surface resulting in a radiant, soft tone and texture. Dry, dehydrated skin looks darker and fine lines appear due to the dryness. Hence, if you moisturise well, the skin will certainly glow.Most of the time, a moisturiser and a sunscreen are all one needs. Anti-ageing creams may help those who need extra boosters due to their profession or lifestyle such as sun exposure, smoking, and stress.'
