Heatwave Alert In Delhi Today: At a time when a sudden COVID outbreak has already unsettled the national capital, Delhi is now staring at a dual crisis. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has sounded a red alert as the city reels under a punishing heatwave, with temperatures soaring to 43.3 C and a staggering heat index of 51.9 C. As hospitals brace for rising cases of both COVID and heatstroke, Delhi finds itself caught in a dangerous spiral of health and climate emergencies.

Temperatures in Delhi and most of North India have reached a sweltering 43.3 C due to a severe heatwave. The IMD has issued a red alert, warning of potentially fatal conditions, due to the capital's horrifying heat index of 51.9 C. Millions of people are struggling to cope with the extreme heat, which is causing health issues, power disruptions, and water shortages.

As per the latest predictions, a light shower is expected to hit the northern region later this week. "Relief is expected to reach the city by the weekend," IMD said in its statement. Stay tuned with us for all the live updates on HEATWAVE IN INDIA.
