Health benefits of panch phoron or Indian five spice blend you should know

Paanch Phoron also knows as the five spices blend is a staple tempering spice in areas like West Bengal, Assam Orissa and other parts of eastern India. However, now it is quite commonly used in the rest of the country too. Apart from adding flavour to the food, this mix of nutrition-packed spice is immensely healthy.   • Fenugreek or methi seeds
  • Nigella or kalonji seeds
  • Cumin seeds or jeera
  • Black mustard(Rayee) seeds and
  • Fennel seeds or Saunf

Here are the health benefits of Panch phoron:

  1. Fenugreek present in Panch phoron is beneficial to keep blood sugar in control, which means it is great for diabetics. It also gives you glowing skin and improves hair growth.   3. Nigella seeds also known as kalonji is very well-known for its health benefits.
