Virat Kohli turns 37 today! The former captain of the Indian national cricket team has a massive following for his fitness discipline, leaving fans in awe of his great physique. In an interaction with a leading sports media outlet, Virat Kohli reveals that his fitness formula to stay strong and ageless mostly involves a strict diet and workout.
Talking about how diet plays an important role rather than spending hours in the gym, Virat Kohli said, "The basic challenge I've faced in terms of fitness is food. Everyone can work out in the gym, but when it comes to diet, it's different."
He continued, "If you can persevere through your taste buds and cravings, it can help your progress. I can eat the same food for the next six months, three times a day."

During an interaction, the retired Indian cricket player further stresses the importance of how the food is prepared. When asked about what his typical food plate looks like, he revealed, "Around 90% of my food is steamed or boiled with just salt, pepper, and lime."
"I'm not a big fanatic of taste. I enjoy salads with a little dressing and pan-grilled dishes with some olive oil. I avoid masala curries, but I do eat dal, rajma and lobhiya," the 37-year-old further said light-heartedly. "As a Punjabi, I can't skip those."
As for his workout session, the former Indian captain once revealed in an Instagram post that his go to exercise is 'goblet squats' for mobility and strength. He wrote, "My go to exercise for mobility plus strength? Goblet squats."
Gobet squats are a popular exercise among individuals who want to build strength and improve mobility, especially among sports stars. To perform goblet squats, you must stand wide apart and hold a dumbell or kettlebell vertically against your chest. Now, lower your body in a squat position, while holding, keeping your chest upright. Gradually, return to the standing position.
