The Indian Government has withdrawn the powers of National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority's (NPPA) to fix the prices of non-essential medications. The order that came on late Monday was against the NPPA's decision to cap prices of more than 100 drugs. The NPPA's decision has provoked protests from several pharmaceutical groups like IPA (Indian Pharma Alliance).
