Friends are forever and friendship is a bond that is indeed very special. Whether it is just the two of you or the whole gang, friends are an important part of one's life. From bunking classes together, to sharing your deepest secrets, they help you grow as a person and are there with you when you are low. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai
Rahul, Anjali and Tina college romance, friendship, love and heartbreak. The film had it all, but in the end it was their deep friendship that got them back together. The movie did make Friendship Day more popular amongst college goers.
Three Idiots
The story of three IITians trying to deal with their own personal problems and get through college did manage to make us tear up on more than one occasion. The strong bond of friendship was seen throughout the film drinking together and sharing their problems, giving each other the courage to do what their heart desires and the road trip to Leh to find their long lost buddy. Rancho, Farhan and Raju shared a rollercoaster ride of a life which we absolutely enjoyed.
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara
A modern-day film where three childhood buddies take a road trip through Spain before one of them is about to be married. Though a fun-filled ride, it does have its speed bumps along the way when they all have to undergo an activity that they are most afraid of underwater sea diving, sky diving, racing with bulls for their life! But in the end, they are still friends for life!
Sholay
Perhaps one of the most iconic friendships portrayed on the silver screen, Jai and Veeru make for a terrific duo. The film showcases their conning days to saving villagers from the dreaded dacoit. And in the end, it wrenches your heart when one friend dies saving the other one. Sholay does capture the bond of friendship very well.
Dil Chahata Hai
This cult film was quite popular amongst the youth when it released. It was modern, slick and dealt with silly to serious problems in a smooth transition. It did make Goa the go-to place with your friends and the journey of three friends from their college days to matured adults was portrayed in a new manner.
Andaz Apna Apna
Two street-smart friends who want to get rich quick without much effort, AAA is a classic in more ways than one but the friendship angle sure takes the cake. It was a laugh riot to watch the antics of Amar and Prem embroiled in sticky situations and getting out of it with their quick wit.
Rang De Basanti
Friendship, love, blood, patriotism the film managed to portray all of it seamlessly in a few hours. The journey of an inseparable group of friends who love to chill turn serious when things go wrong in real life. Though all of them were very close, the bond between Sukhi and DJ was quite a watch.
Dhoom series
Keeping aside the run and chase of goons, the other thing constant in Dhoom movies is the love-hate friendship between Jai and Ali. A former thief, Ali does the cop act and the two team up to catch the bad guys. Their constant squabbles do manage to crack us up, but despite not getting along, they do have each other's back when required.
Rock On
A group of college kids form a band which is successful, but they fall apart and move on. A reunion years later brings them back together. Their lives have changed and they do not connect with each other but a few band practices later, they reignite the lost vibe and become friends just like before.
Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na
Best friends who are unaware that they are also in love with each other until they start dating other people. The story is also about a group of close friends but the main leads Jai and Aditi floor us with their cute chemistry and cluelessness.
