A lung infection is marked by an infection that begins in the lungs, mainly caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, or other pathogens. The onset of infection can lead to inflammation in the lungs, impairing their ability to function properly, which makes it difficult for the patient to grasp breathe (having difficulty in breathing) and reduces oxygen flow to the bloodstream.
