Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg & his wife open up about having three miscarriages

For any married couple, learning that they will be having a baby is like starting a new life full of hope all over again. But, at times not all goes as one hopes. Facebook s Founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg and his wife have opened up about their struggle with getting pregnant. Mark in his Facebook post yesterday informed the world that he and his wife have begun a new chapter in their lives. Both of them are expecting a baby girl soon and both the mother and baby are in good health.

According to his post, they have been trying to have a baby for long time and have had three miscarriages so far. His post read, You feel so hopeful when you learn you're going to have a child. You start imagining who they'll become and dreaming of hopes for their future. You start making plans, and then they're gone. It's a lonely experience. Most people don't discuss miscarriages because you worry your problems will distance you or reflect upon you -- as if you're defective or did something to cause this. So you struggle on your own. Many couples across the world go through such problems while starting a family. However, not many of them talk about it suffer from the loss on their own. In such times, one needs support from their friends and family. Talking about it doesn t make the problem worse, it will only help you. Mark writes, When we started talking to our friends, we realized how frequently this happened -- that many people we knew had similar issues and that nearly all had healthy children after all .

Mark s story is a hope for many such couples who are sailing the same boat. He hopes that, his post will encourage many couples to open up about their problems and get support from their friends and family and not feel alone in such tumultuous times. He writes, We hope that sharing our experience will give more people the same hope we felt and will help more people feel comfortable sharing their stories as well.
