According to media reports, US President Barack Obama is expected to appoint Ron Klain as the single person leading the US government's effort to fight against Ebola disease. Ron Klain is well-known for serving as chief of staff to both Vice President Joe Biden and former vice president Al Gore. The US government's Ebola response has drawn criticism following the diagnosis of three individuals with were diagnosed with the Ebola virus on American soil. Klain is supposed to report directly to Lisa Monaco, Obama's Homeland Security Advisor and Susan Rice, National Security Advisor. An unidentified official from the White House said that Klain's role is reliable as the President articulated in the Oval Office praised Monaco, Rice and other officials for their outstanding work in confronting the Ebola challenge effectively so far. He further added that leading management to other national and homeland security priorities, added bandwidth will further improve the Government's ability to respond efficiently to the detrimental Ebola outbreak. It is a known fact that Kian left the White House in the ear 2011. US President Obama said that it might be a good idea to take an additional person on board to deal with the Ebola czar.
