Nurse, Nina Pham, the first healthcare worker to get infected with the Ebola virus is being shifted to a Maryland hospital. But leaving her colleagues behind was no mean feat for the brave lady. In a video taken by the staff, Nina is seen crying as she says goodbye and says, 'I love you guys' to the two doctors caring for her.
The video was released by the Texas Presbyterian hospital, and Nina is being shifted to a hospital in Maryland for further treatment. In the video taken by Dr Weinstein, he is seen telling Nina, 'Thanks for getting well. Thanks for being part of the volunteer team to take care of our first patient.' He further adds that 'It means a lot. This has been a huge effort by all of you,' before tearing up. To which Nina asks him not to cry and tells them that she loves them with tears welling up in her eyes too.
Nina Pham was discharged from the Dallas hospital on Thursday, and as she left the hospital her colleagues gathered outside the building to see her off, holding up signs like 'Get well' and 'You're a rock star'. She will now be treated at NIH Hospital by Dr Antony Fauci, Director of the hospital's Allergy and Infectious Diseases unit.
At the hospital Nina Pham also asked them to release a statement thanking her family and co-workers for their love and support.
