Ebola in India: Lucknow airport posts medical staff to screen passengers

Ebola in IndiaInternational airport in India tighten health checks for all passengers. Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Amausi, Lucknow airport does not have any direct flight from the afflicted west African countries but it has direct flights from the Gulf region. Medical official S.N. Yadav assured that all necessary steps as per the union health ministry have been taken to check suspects. Doctors and paramedic staff have been posted at the airport to screen passengers for the virus.

A separate six-bed ward to treat possible cases has been set up at the Lokbandhu hospital in the city. An ambulance service for the transport of a patient who shows symptoms has also been arranged, Yadav added.
