According to a new study published in the journal Alimentary Pharmacology and Therapeutics, those who eat chicken and fish may have a significantly lowered risk of suffering from liver cancer.

For the study, researchers reviewed a collection of studies that were published between the year 1956 and 2013. It was found that people who ate more amount of white meat could reduce their risk developing liver cancer by 22 per cent to 31 per cent. However, there was no evidence that eating red meat, processed meat or total meat increased the risk of developing liver cancer.

The findings suggested that dietary intervention might be a promising approach for prevention of Hepatocellular carcinoma, which still need to be confirmed by further well-designed prospective studies and experimental research.
