Drunk cop in Delhi metro sets a bad example for the society

We all know about the ill-effects of alcohol but what surprises us is that the protectors of the city are forgetting to follow the unsaid rules of decency. There is no harm in drinking, especially if you are doing it in the confines of your room or not creating a nuisance for people around you. However, this incident shocks us. Recently, a police officer was seen drunk and disheveled in a Delhi metro, setting a wrong example for the youth and public in general.

Excess alcohol consumption does a lot of harm to our body. Apart from harming the liver and pancreas, it also impairs vision and judgement. A reason why drinking and driving is not considered to be unsafe. However, that is not the only matter of concern. Even if you don't drive after drinking you can still be prone to fractures and bruises, like how the cop was unable to stand and fell on the floor on his back. His luck that he was saved by the passersby. A fall on the ground in an inebriated condition could be fatal.

But the question remains that why was a police officer on duty, wearing his uniform in such an abysmal state. What lesson are we going to pass to the young generation about alcohol avoidance if the protector of the society shows such behaviour?
