Begin your day with a cup of green tea instead of the normal black tea to lower your risk of heart disease and its associated health complications. Research studies have proved that drinking a cup of green tea in the morning significantly improves your heart health by lowering blood cholesterol levels in the body.
Green tea is packed with a wide range of antioxidants that help in burning the excess fat (which in the near future may result in blockages of the heart). Individuals drinking this tea regularly are at a lower risk of heart ailments as compared to others. It is because this tea helps in improving the function of endothelial cells (lining the blood vessels) thereby preventing the arteries from clogging and thus, preventing heart diseases such as arteriosclerosis.
Researchers of the European Journal of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation have stated that drinking green tea shows a positive effect on heart health, in addition to improving blood vessel function within 30 minutes. This tea increases the blood levels of good cholesterol (HDL High Density Lipoprotein) and lowers the levels of bad cholesterol (LDL Low Density Lipoprotein) levels in the body. People suffering from heart ailments are also advised to drink green tea daily in order to keep their health at its peak. Drinking green tea daily not only keeps you fit but also provides numerous health benefits. Read about 10 reasons green tea is good for health.
