Keep running urges Kapil Sharma to kids running for Mumbai Juniorthon

Kapil Sharma who believes laughter is the best medicine and loves to make people laugh due to the stressful environment we currently live in, urged kids to add another fitness measure to their lifestyle on Thursday. During a promotional interview for his upcoming film 'Firangi', the actor stood in support of Mumbai Juniorthon and gave his best to the kids participating. Kapil stated, "To all the kids participating, keep running don't stop. You all have my best wishes. This initiative is a great measure for kids to get motivated for physical activities. Hope more and more kids participate."

A generation ago, playing and running around were the only activities considered necessary to keep children fit and healthy. Now a growing number of national gym chains, and social events like Mumbai Juniorthon to cater to parents panicking about soaring child obesity rates. In a previous interview, Zoya Akhtar has similar views to express regarding kids and their remote relation to physical fitness she said, "Juniorthon sounds great, I am glad they are doing something. Parents will send kids out to play but there has to be a proper place to play. Kids cant play on roads. Of course, they are attracted to social media its happening all over the world." The director also expressed her concern for the cities' contribution to our future generation's well-being, she said, "As a city, we have to provide safe and clean space for children to go out and play. we need parks, areas and green places, without these where will the children go?" The annual running event 'Mumbai Juniorthon' is supported by many celebrities including Ayushmaan Khurrana, Jacqueline Fernandez, Vidya Balan among others, will mark 3rd season on 10th of December this year. Initiated in 2015 by Bhavna Mehta and Amit Mehta, will be presented by Party Sharty Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.
