The White Housereleased an update on President Donald Trump's health on Monday, which included a detailed review of his most recent medical scan. Press secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that the recent MRI was performed for preventive reasons and revealed the 79-year-old president's excellent cardiovascular health, dismissing queries about the purpose of the exam and its cause. According to reporters, Leavitt stated that routine imaging is recommended for men of Trump's age and that the exam was not concerning.
"President Trump's cardiovascular imaging was perfectly normal, no evidence of arterial narrowing, impairing blood flow or abnormalities in the heart or major vessels," she said. Leavitt went on to describe the findings in full. The heart chambers have a regular size. The vessel's walls appear smooth and healthy. "There are no signs of inflammation or clotting," she continued, calling Trump's cardiovascular system "excellent." She also stated that his abdominal scans were "perfectly normal".

The White House announcement comes after Trump teased the results over the weekend on Air Force One, assuring reporters that the MRI was great. When asked why he had the scan, he said he didn't know which portion of his body was imaged: "It was just an MRI. What part of the body? It wasn't the brain because I took a cognitive test and I aced it."
