Health News Live Updates: The United States President Donald Trump's annual physical examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center has confirmed that he is in "excellent cognitive and physical health," with no major issues detected. However, a precancerous skin condition known as actinic keratosis was noted, raising concerns among some observers. According to the experts, benign skin lesions known as actinic keratosis (AK) are rough, scaly patches which is primarily caused by prolonged exposure to the sun. When left untreated, these patches harden and slowly develops into a wart-like texture. Studies have also shown that there is a 5% to 10% chance that actinic keratoses could progress into squamous cell carcinoma, a form of skin cancer.

Meanwhile, a recent study has revealed that COVID-19 survivors are at higher risk of suffering cardiac death or heart attacks. This gives hope for the experts to study the causes behind the recent rise in heart attack cases across the world (especially after the COVID-19 pandemic).
