Legendary Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar, who was suffering from pneumonia and was being treated at Lilavati Hospital, will be discharged today from the hospital. He was kept under observation in a special room and was given intravenous antibiotics to which he responded well. The veteran actor turns 92 today and is expected to celebrate his birthday with his close family friends at his residence, said friend Udaya Tara Nayar, who is also the compiler of the 91-year-old actor's autobiography titled 'The Substance and the Shadow.'
'We do have plans to get him back home before his birthday. Doctor will do his check-up tomorrow (Thursday) morning and he will be discharged by tomorrow afternoon. He should be back home by 1 p.m. or 2 p.m,' said Nayar. Veteran actress Saira Banu has planned a small dinner for the special day. It will be a quiet celebration,' she said.
