Delhi seems to be fighting a losing battle against dengue. In a recent report, Delhi reported 24 new dengue cases on Friday taking the total number of cases of the mosquito-borne disease to 140. It is the maximum number of cases reported in a day this season. No deaths have been reported. Of the 140 cases, three dengue cases have originated from outside the capital, an official from the corporation said.
With 61 cases, the North Delhi Municipal Corporation reported the maximum number of cases this year followed by the South Corporation with 50 cases. 19 dengue cases have been reported from the East Corporation so far.
