Having suffered from depression in the past, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone recently voiced her strong support to mental health issues in the country. Although she has been working throughout the year towards improving mental health in India, the actress confirmed her dedicated support to mental health awareness right at the beginning of 2015. Having gone through a low phase in her life, she believes every person has a unique story, full of ups and downs. She tweeted:
Deepika is making all efforts to educate the audiences about mental health issues and ways to deal with them. She already has a team of doctors and psychiatrists on board who are working with her closely to address common mental health problems like depression, panic attacks or even anxiety. Using social media as a tool to start with the cause, Deepika highlighted that common mental health issues like anxiety and depression should not be treated as a sign of weakness. Here's her tweet:
