Dave Edmunds, known for his famous hits I Hear You Knocking, The Promised Land and Queen of Hearts. He was born on April 14, 1994, in Cardiff, Wales and performed in various bands in his young adulthood. His first solo album was Rockpile in 1972. His song, I Hear You Knocking also became hit and was number one in the UK.

Dave Edmunds has been hospitalised. According to his wife, Cici Edmund took to Facebook to write about his major cardiac arrest that happened in July.

Cici revealed the heartbreaking incident that Dave died in his arms during the incident until a nurse revived him with heavy CPR. Her exact words were, "my beloved husband of 40 years has had a major cardiac arrest. He died in my arms while I desperately tried to keep him alive. " She also revealed that she is still in shock and is suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) after the horrific experience.

Not only this, but Cici wrote that Dave was also rushed to the intensive care unit, where a breathing tube wasn't inserted in his mouth. She also mentioned that he clearly has brain damage and severe memory loss.

Apart from this, she continued, "They will have a very long journey ahead of them. If he survives, we both have, but knowing that there are kind-hearted people such as you all makes the tremendously difficult journey a little easier. Furthermore, adding to it," bless you all. She clearly said that if he experiences another cardiac arrest, there would be no chance of his survival. According to a few reports, a sudden cardiac arrest is like a loss of heart activity with an irregular heartbeat, which leads to brain damage and death.

His Close friend, Brian Setzer also came forward to acknowledge this further by writing on Facebook saying that he officially retired from music and performing in July 2017, saying, "it's with a bitter sweet announcement that my good friend and guitar legend Dev Edmonds is retiring after tomorrow's night show, I wish him all the love in the world and his retirement".
