COVID-19 Live Updates: India’s Weekly COVID Positivity Rate Less Than 3% For Last 66 Days
Amid ongoing speculations over the 3rd wave of the pandemic in India, a childcare home in Maharashtra's Mankhurd region registered a rise in the active coronavirus cases among the kids. Almost 18 children of tested positive for COVID-19 in Mankhurd's Children Home in Mumbai on Sunday. This comes hours after 14 children lodged at a government-run juvenile home commonly called remand home at Ulhasnagar in Thane district had tested positive for coronavirus.
Meanwhile, India registered 45,083 new coronavirus infections in a span of 24 hours, taking the total tally of the country to 3,26,95,030. According to the reports, this was the fifth consecutive day when the country recorded an increase in the active number of daily cases in the aftermath of the ferocious second wave.
