At a time when deadly coronavirus variant Delta is wrecking havoc worldwide, researchers have stated that the protection from Pfizer and AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccines against the now prevalent Delta variant wanes within three months. The two vaccines, which are commonly used in foreign countries, emerged to be less effective against the Delta variant of coronavirus as compared to the Alpha variant. Meanwhile, India has added 36,401 new COVID-19 infections, taking the total tally of cases to 3,23,22,258, while the death toll has climbed to 4,33,049 with 530 more fatalities.
