Connie Francis Death Cause: Connie Francis, known for her famous hits like Stupid Cupid, Mama and her recent viral song Pretty little baby has passed away on Wednesday, July 16th after being hospitalised to treat "extreme pain".
Ron Roberts, Francis' friend and the president of the musician's label Concetta Records confirmed on Facebook about her death on Thursday, July 17th.
"It is with a heavy heart and extreme sadness that I inform you of the passing of my dear friend Connie Francis last night. I know that Connie would approve that her fans are among the first to learn of this sad news. More details will follow later," the post read. It was also shared from Connie Francis' official Facebook profile.
Reports reveals that Connie was going under treatment and it could be the due to her hip surgery that she experienced excruciating pain. The hitmaker herself revealed to her fans that she was admitted to hospital on July 2 after an extreme pain cancelling her plans to make appearance on Independence Day .
Connie wrote: "Hello Everyone. As many of you may now have learned through (radio star)
Cousin Brucie's Facebook page, I am back in hospital where I have been undergoing tests and checks to determine the causes of the extreme pain I have been experiencing.
"I had hoped to take part in Brucie's show for Independence Day, having had to cancel a previous slot a few weeks ago when receiving treatment on my hip. Sadly, I had to let him know that l again had to withdraw. My thanks for your many get well soon messages. I will endeavor to keep you updated. Love, Connie."
Francis went through some tough times. Like surviving an attack in 1974 ,losing her voice for some while after a surgery in 1981 and seeing her brother killed in mafia related murder . She also went through some mental health challenges .
She has set an example and raised the bar for many out there as even with these challenges she built herself even more stronger . She raised a son , Joseph Garzilli in 2017 and expressed she wanted to be remembered not for her greatest achievements , but for the challenges she single handedly faced . She is survived by her son.
Her exact words were, "not for the heights I have reached , but for the depths I have risen from". and that is something really inspirational for her fans.
