How to burn calories doing everyday activities?

Everybody knows that exercising is good for them, and yet not enough people are doing it. One of the main excuses that people give is that they don't have enough time. This is a lame excuse as people never say they don't have time to eat, take a shower or simply watch TV. Even the busiest of people like Rahul Gandhi and Narendra Modi find time to exercise and stay fit. In this post, we'll give you some smart ideas to fit exercising into your busy schedule.

1. Pace back and forth while on the phone

These days very few people use landline phones, and one doesn't need to sit at one place while receiving calls. Try and move around the house or your balcony while receiving calls. If you talk to an interesting person for more than 30 minutes, you'd have walked for that time without realising it.

2. Gardening

Not only will gardening help you get some light exercise, it'll also add to your contribution to save the planet. We definitely need more trees. Unfortunately, people living in urban cities like Mumbai or Delhi may not find enough space to have a garden.

3. Exercise while watching TV

Advertisements can be hard to endure while watching a TV show. But while you wait for the tension and suspense to dissipate, you can do some light exercises like walking, jogging, lunges, etc. Read about how ad breaks on TV can help you lose weight.

4. Walking to grocery shops

Instead of taking your bike or car out for small distances, make it a point to walk.
